About Us

Healing and Change through Mindfulness and Phychotherapy

The Center for Mindful Living (CML) in San Diego, California, is the home for the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy. We’re committed to providing a welcoming, supportive, compassionate and healing environment for people seeking positive life changes.

Clinical Psychologists and mindfulness teachers, our therapist, have made it their life’s work to pioneer the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy into clinical practice. They created CML to offer people a central place that focuses on this important work.

Techniques for developing mindfulness

The Center for Mindful Living offers a multitude of services to fit your needs. Offerings range from mindfulness-based psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families as well as group therapy, classes, workshops, sitting groups and professional trainings. Please see the calendar for our current list of events.

Yoga and Meditation Retreats

Today, families are under more pressure and experiencing more stress than ever before. Between the increasing demands of academic life, extracurricular activities, peer relationships, family relationships, and the constant growing demands of technology, everyone can be left feeling stressed, anxious, irritable, and disconnected. This is a unique opportunity to get away from all of those stressors, unplug from the daily busy-ness and connect as a family in an intentional, mindful way.

In this retreat, you and your family will practice gentle yoga and learn age-appropriate mindfulness and meditation practices all coupled with fun activities such zip lining, snorkeling cruise, trips to the beach, and optional surfing/stand up paddle boarding. There will be opportunities to practice as a family and for parents and children to practice separately. Also, it is important to us that we always give back to places we visit so we have arranged a beach clean-up as a community service project.

Your Family Retreat, Your Family Adventure!

During this retreat, you and your family will learn ways to slow down, get connected with yourself and each other in the present moment with greater calm, contentment and peace – planting seeds of mindfulness and compassion together that will grow for years to come.
